2. First one

These are all great but my favourite is the first one. There's something about the seeming conflict of the building stretching towards the sky and the tangle of branches trying to keep it firmly grounded.

If I may ask, why did you crop the first one with the left front white triangle and the white tree left in?
Not being critical, just wanting to learn.

I had the 50mm prime on the camera and there were a lot of people milling around so it was hard to change my vantage point. It was a memorial ceremony by the Queen's Own Rifles to commemorate the regiment's casualties during the Fenian Raids in the 1860s. Lots of old men in berets, and of course a band.
