I guess it would disappoint you even more to know that it's not actually alcohol. I'm not a drinker so the only alcohol I have are some liqueurs I use for baking.

Rereading my reply, the tone didn't come out right. The initial disappointment I was thinking of wasn't in regard to the photo itself. I was thinking that there was a particular alcohol you would have preferred in the shot glass (for consumption rather than photographic purposes). That would be the initial disappointment.

11. I do prefer (for consumption) the bourbons & the ryes

which are more amber in color, but which would not have worked with the lighting in your photo. Your choices are excellent, and it should have been a serious contender if it had actually been submitted.

I think this shot might get past the first round for its humour value. I don't think it would come even close to winning once the humour gets old. The quality of all the other entries is just too high for that.
