24. Thank you! I had not considered looking at the Inauguration
pictures to find an entry for "my favorite" but after WJMS called on Jan shots, I ran across them.
I liked that one - it was one of my favorites on that exciting and icy day.

think that she is not a fair weather patriot.

4. Happy New Year!
Not sure which is the last photo of 2008. Maybe this one (Dec 30):

The first one of 2009 is a rather unexciting photo of the Hotel Vancouver (Jan1):

Things improved slightly as the day went on:

8. Yeah, I'm down!
My last shot of 2008 was taken on December 28th. It was taken on the grounds of a very posh private school outside Denver. It's part of a wall that leads up to the front entry.

My first shot of 2009 was taken on January 12, after a small snowfall. It's a photo of Evans Chapel on the University of Denver campus. I wish I remembered this photo when we had that historic register contest, I like it much better than the shots I took for that contest!

Happy New Year to all my fellow Photo Groupies! :toast:

11. Walker's Grocery is one of my favorites. You did that one
in black and white and from another angle as well. I had a preference that was very distinct and now I can't remember which it was.
Heck, I learned a lot since, my viewpoint might have changed.

19. Thanks, only when it comes to your photos
is my memory not like a sieve.:)

Now I can't decide. They are both perfect.
It's not that often we see hand lettered old signs. The computer changed it all in 1984.

Where is that place? I might want to go haunt it.

28. The last photo of 2008
was this one from the downtown party, 8:14 p.m., December 31, 2008.

The first one of 2009 was game night at Diane Benson's house, January 2, 2009, about 8:15 p.m. This is our friend Vanessa and Tony, who is Diane's ex-husband/best friend/campaign treasurer.
