Poll question: What types of cameras does everyone use?

I've been curious as to what types of cameras everyone's using. So, here's a quick poll.

What camera(s) are your primary ones when you go out on a shooting spree (photographically speaking, of course)? I know that a lot of cel phones have cameras but I didn't include it as part of any combinations in the poll because I figure if you have anything better than a cel phone camera, your cel phone is with you as a phone, not a camera.

I'm personally in the "DSLR + P&S" category. I don't usually carry my DSLR with me but when I go out to take photos, I pack both.

3. 4/3 /is/ a DSLR. though I suppose that you mean some of the mirrorless micro four thirds

cameras from Olympus and Panasonic.

My 4/3 DSLR goes with me about 95% of the time.

4. Blurring the line

The 4/3 cameras definitely blur the line between DSLR and non-DSLR. I guess my intent for the category is geared more towards the lens type. So, I lump pretty much all the cameras that take 4/3 lenses as 4/3 cameras, even if some are technically DSLRs.

I've added a DSLR + Film category. This will definitely be the last edit to the poll categories (at 10 entries now). I don't have room for "P&S + film" or "4/3 + film" so those will need to go into the "other" category.

7. Canon G10

Top of the P&S line. Picked it because it isn't as cumbersome as a DSLR

I have a Canon SLR, but am looking for a good used Canon DSLR body. If I can't find one, I will save up for a 4/3

8. I use Film, Dslr, P&S and Cell Phone

I wouldn't discount cell phones as a photographic tool, in fact there are times I reach for the cell phone even if I have a Dslr hanging on my neck because the cell camera has certain qualities that I was looking for in a shot or I might be going for a candid shot and the cell makes it possible because it's less threatening, in fact it's so common to see people taking shots with their cell that they have become visual white noise and people simply don't notice.

Four Thirds cameras are made by Olympus, Panasonic, and Leica.

16. I have the E-500

didn't realize it just wasn't a regular DSLR. I'm trying to find a good telephoto for it (200-800 35mm equivalent).

any suggestions?

17. Depends upon what you're looking for. The viewfinder on the E-500 is supposedly very

large and bright - so if you're trying to save money, you might want to look at some legacy lenses and an adapter. You can get really nice bargains at pawn shops, ebay, etc. If you're looking for 4/3, you might want to take a look at the matching simulation at http://www.four-thirds.org/en/products/matching/index.html - you can select the E-500 even though it is discontinued. It will let you experiment with various digital and legacy lenses - then you can investigate further.

A lot of people really like the 50-200mm and EC-20 combination.

19. They work great with most - there are some Canon legacy lenses that can't

focus to infinity, but most work well. Of course, you'll have to have individual adapters for different mounts, but they (the adapters) aren't expensive, generally under $20.00 - you can even get some with chips built in that give you focus confirmation.

20. Actually have four cameras

2 Fuji's - A Fine Pix 2600? and an E900 which shoots in RAW
A Canon Powershot with RAW capability and a blown out flash tube
Canon Rebel XS
And a Lens Baby.

21. Nice collection. I got to hold a Lumix GF1 yesterday.

It's a nice hunk of metal. I might wait for the second edition to consider buying.
