1. It's exciting when people buy your stuff.

I know how thrilled I am every year when those mushers pick up a few of my shots.

Red Bubble gets most of the price but it's a great way to find out popular taste. Also, maybe it's way over minimum wage, considering it didn't take me long to take the shot, one of many that afternoon, and Red Bubble handles the printing and shipping.

Do the mushers pick up an extra shot of Lance? I know I would.

5. I can't remember if I sent that shot on to Lance's website

last year or not, but Aaron Burmeister who came in 6th, I believe, bought eight of the pictures I had of him. I also provided a few gratis to a couple of folks in exchange for getting a photographer's pass this year so I can go "inside the ropes" for the start of the race.

This year's pictures should be better than ever since I've learned some new techniques since last March.

Also, someone in my neighborhood wants me to take head shots of them for match.com. I think she figured anyone with a big lens should know how. :shrug: I'm working up a price.

6. Pricing is always the hardest part for me.

I still can't quite conceive of myself as a "professional photographer."

13. Aside from the "who, me?" factor...

I'm thinking if the going rate around here is $200-275 for a session and DVD, I'm thinking of asking $125. I'm sure I can frame my shots well and I'm pretty good at relaxing people but, aside from being able to correct the color, I'm not very experienced on PS.
