An invitation to the unveiling of my newest SmugMug gallery.

I decided this year that I would discipline myself to take at least one photo a day to be posted as a cumulating photo diary at my SmugMug site. As this is the end of week one and I now have seven photos posted, I now present you http://northernvisions.smugmug.com/Photography/Photo-of-The-Day-2010/10840010_6Z4Zw#759810833_dJD3z . If you guys will check in periodically, it will motivate me to keep up with this.

I thought at the end of the year, I would put them in ascending order from January 1 to December 31, and it will remind me of all these occasions. I'm getting old, I need all the reminders I can get. :rofl:

Man, a photo a day. I would have to get a birdfeeder and shoot through dirty windows to do that, like Alfredo. Either than or pictures of Kroger, or stop lights. I guess I could take every different angle of my neighbor's yard angels.

But, somehow, "a picture each day, starting on January 9th, 2010" just doesn't have the same cachet about it... :-(

There's always the Chinese New Year--year of the Tiger. I thought I might go to the zoo the first day of that--assuming the wind chill is somewhere north of twenty degrees then.

It really is a great challenge to get off your butt and get out there. Or even figure out something inside the house to work with, like my corner by the fireplace, which I took because we had freezing rain that day. The cat for January 1 was taken at about 11:30 at night because I ALMOST forgot I was going to do this.

now and then. I really try not to be pushy, but, of course, I like people to go to my site occasionally. I'm going to really work on getting outstanding shots so people won't get bored.
