I wondered what I might do for still life
A few minutes around my house made me realize that it's not a problem
:rolf:

1. Ooooh, my birthstone. Maybe you can explore the various compositions
found within the geode. There's numerous opportunities within that rock. You can focus on the colors, or desaturate and focus on light/shade and form.

3. Your house is a treasure trove of wonder
I think that a theme of "Things in Mira's house" could give "Things on Robb's desk" a run for its money.

5. Thanks - Tindalos. I take that as a compliment LOL - though
nothing would ever compare to Robb's desk.
It's all in the angle of how to look at it, as you know. I did not arrange a thing, just photographed stuff as it is.

Those few minutes trying took away all apprehension about "still life".

6. Everyone of these is so cool!
The jar in the top pic, is that a pig? I love it.
You have such a wonderful eye for seeing just the POV in a pic.
Treasure trove indeed.

7. These are wonderful
The second one seems really visually interesting, with all the contrasts.

Good job!! Yes it helps to have a house with all this cool stuff, but I think you also showed it off very artfully.

8. You zeroed in on my favorite, the rest are just fluff, and fun. My grandson parking
his little figurines through the house so they remind me of him.
To me they are all still life photos albeit quirky and contemporary.

The statue and the painting go well together, I was surprised at how the photo showed it. I may take some more with a bit different light and a tripod.
Thanks, Celebration.
