But why is he removing the sign? And who is that guy inside? A dentist?

I am the owner and chief bottle washer of a small sign company. I suspect the guy inside is the customer past or future, or an employee.
They always watch, until I tell them that costs double, and the price triples if they help.

Lettering gets removed and changed when tenancy changes.
The vinyl slides off the blade to the ground, that's why there is no mess on the glass.

I had a good laugh when I brought the shot up on the computer. I'm still puzzling over the meaning of that look on his face.

5. Jeff, that first one is a real winner. I love the OPEN word,

centered as it is, spilling the message over the entire area.
On the second one I like the illuminated curtains a lot. I think a tight crop for just the Thai buffet place would be an interesting alternative.
The third one,

that looks like work.
Especially the observer! It's a riot, really, for someone like me.

And for that matter, why he was looking like that at the guys working on his window. From a layperson's point of view, it seemed like they were doing an efficient job.

that's not a Thai place. The word in neon is "thali" and theirs is said to be good, though I haven't tried it.

9. Check out this one...

This is a sign up on the road leading to the town of Clayton, Iowa. I took this a couple years ago. Clayton is on the Mississippi River, and is at the bottom of a very steep hill. This sign originally warned truckers not to relax just yet lest they wind up in the river. Someone has obviously done some work on the sign. I haven't been there in about two years, so I can't tell you if the sign is still there or not.
