1. A sign of our times. On the Bluegrass Pkwy in Kentucky there is a sign that
states "Used Cows for Sale." I never got a picture of it, I wish I had.

Not sure how he used the cows. I don't really want to know what goes on between a lonely farmer and his cow.

11. To me this is a runner up to the one you ran in the last contest.
It is a magnificent shot with a tale to tell along with the sign's message, and I think the strong diagonal from the building to the left top to the sign on the right bottom makes this thing a perfectly balanced real keeper.

8. When I saw this before
(and I can't remember just when you posted it) I was shaken.

Damn if it doesn't have the same effect all over again.

I like the statue in the middle, can't quite figure out what it is.

9. Looks like the Michelin Man doing a little industrial espionage.
Please keep in mind that my vision is not too acute.

Actually, it looks like a replica of a Greek statue I faintly remember, but why it would be outside a Goodyear plant is a real riddle.

12. I think it must have fallen out of the blimp, the statue, that is. As for the wooden
tired carriage, the photo is a stitch in front of the Good Year sign.

5. That's a really melancholy scene, Mira.
Brings back so many roadside scenes, makes you wonder what happened, and to whom, and what will happen. There are all kinds of themes this one might be suitable for.

Here's a sign for you:

10. I like your OPEN sign
echoed on the door, with no clue about what's offered inside.

Here is what my sign was advertising. Seeing that makes the whole scene more sad and dreary.
I cannot image EVER to have wanted to eat breakfast there, and I'm not a prima donna of any kind.

14. I think I'd mentioned it here
I was in Vegas last weekend. Signs everywhere, but not one I felt like capturing.......except when I was on my way home. On the freeway, so not the best shot in the world, but the sweet repetition of a sign competition where I captured a sign truck with a sign on board that used the word "sign".
