Does this qualify as an outdoor still life?
Yes those are my feet, yes I took that pic, and yes I'm still.

*sigh* I'm struggling with this still life theme. Been rearranging multiple stuff in my house. But . . . that's the beauty of this challenge, and really all the photo group challenges.

1. If you weren't asleep when you took this
I don't think it's a still life.:)

2. I believe still life means no "things
that usually move on their own"

I vaguely recall a big controversy about including an insect in a still life a few years back.

It is supposed to be inanimate objects only.

3. That would require Callalily to be dead.
It's so hard to take a picture that way.

8. I truly love this beach pic, and
I meant my comment more in jest than anything else.

Now . . . I have many pictures that I truly love, many that are not of good quality, many where composition is lacking, true quality is lacking. but I love them more for the memories. This was taken on Providanciles after a most fabulous scuba dive where I witnessed many fantastic marine animals.

I'm struggling with the still life topic, b/c I don't really do still life. I've been rearranging stuff in my home, taking pictures of fruit in baskets, arranging gnarlly wood next to my roaring fireplace, but all lacking, nothing acceptable for the photo contest.

So I decided to take a break and make myself a salad. Whoa! I always take pictures of food. What? Yes, (light bulb goes off), those are still life pics!

Most likely then, if I do submit an entry in the still life category, it will be depicting food!

Smoked salmon and rice crackers

Hungry yet?

9. I pulled out some of the stuff my my mom and dad left behind, arranged
them on a table, moved lights around and snapped a few. Some old lace, pretty old costume jewelry, old dolls could be of interest. Old dolls can look good in black and white.

Being very hammered at the time may have influenced my opinion though.
