Tentative FEBRUARY CONTEST schedule

Since I don't know what's happening with the winter contest I will plan on an early February contest which will give plenty of time to do a Winter contest at the end of the month.

Submissions: Feb 5-9
Prelims - Feb 11 - 15
Finals Feb 17 - 20.

Trying to get some weekend posting/voting days in without dragging it out too long.

It is my hope that everyone has had plenty of time to arrange random and sundry collections of goodies to photograph in a pleasing and/or provocative manner.

2. O.K., I guess that sets my schedule...

Although I know the intention here was to move the monthly contest up so that the Winter contest can be held later, and appreciate the thought, there really is no way with this schedule to hold the seasonal contest after the monthly one without either a) having the Winter contest polling run into March (which I think is a really bad idea), or b) expecting GD to get excited about voting in preliminary polling that would have to go up the day after the monthly contest finals voting ended (which I think is an even worse idea).

Therefore, I think I'm going to have to have an ultra-quick Winter Seasonal Contest, with the dates as follows:

Submissions - 2/1-2/4
Preliminaries - 2/5-2/6 (yep, only two days for the voting instead of the usual three)
Finals - 2/7-2/8 (ditto)

At least, this way, there will be the gap of a few days between one contest's finals and the other's preliminaries.

Blame this one on me, for neglecting to check in here for a week or so... :dunce:
