Random shots from Philly and Boston
Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia

Inspired by a shot Blue took in San Francisco

I just liked the way the setting sun caught these building fronts

Still Life (sort of) in Boston

I don't care for the blown out sections on this one, but I liked the architecture

1. That graveyard shot is wonderful.
The foreground seems like it's from another place super-imposed on the background.

2. I was going to say the same thing.
Gives the shot a really unsettling quality, like a dream.

6. Copp's Hill Burying Ground; est. 1659, it used to be outside town
but is no longer in use, and the city's North End has grown around it over the intervening centuries. It's now a stop on Boston's Freedom Trail walk. :)

8. I can see now why it looks that way
but the pic does look like it would be appropriate for a horror movie poster or book cover. LOL

It's a very nice shot, and as others have said, unsettling. So it has evoked a distinct response from your audience. Good job! :D

4. My favorite is the first one
although I have to agree the graveyard photo is very unsettling. Please tell me that wasn't really there.

5. It does, indeed, exist there. It is Copp's Hill Burying Ground, in Boston's North End
It was established in 1659, and was outside the town at that time. It is no longer used for new burials, and the city has since grown around it. It is one of the stops on Boston's Freedom Trail walk. :)
