Eight winter secrets

1. They're all wonderful. I'm a big fan of brown and grey. The second one really

draws my attention.

2. It's amazing how much vivid color can be found in the depths of winter.

Browns and oranges pop against the shadows. This is a revelation to me because I dislike winter and work at home, so being out in it can be rare. This winter I decided to get out in it almost every day, carrying the camera to the grocery store or wherever. A lot of the color is on a really small scale and the macro lens helped to ferret it out.

4. These are a real treat.

Practically brilliant, and simply lovely.
On first go-through my favorites were 3-5-7 for composition and color, but there also are the others :)
I think I could be locked up for a day and could not decide between 3 and 7.
