My City does a fine thing every year, they give away mulch, and I took some pictures

I was in a good sized line, but those back hoes filled us up fast and furiously, the van guy ahead had just learned that if you come in a car or van you have to bring your own shovel.



This is the car that was directly in front of me. I had nothing else to do so I got out and shook his hand for his stickers, told him if people are smiling when they approach him, then they are not Palinites. He laughed out loud.
Then I remembered my point and shoot canon camera.




Here is a truck that just got loaded I think Stephen King could write a story here that might make my hair stand up





Tarps were a necessity, if you did not display a tarp, with which you would cover the mulch you did not get loaded up.

This guy drove off barely able to see to the place where vehicles stopped to secure
their loads.

Then here he is driving, yes, he is. You can see the sand move under the wheels.


And just before it became my turn,here is the Retired Preacher getting loaded up



As you can see I had fun. I unloaded and spread one truck load yesterday, and gave out after 2/3 of a load today.

I am really really beat.

I'm standing in the truck bed, the reflection is in the rear window, and the foreshortened bed of the truck leads to show a bit of the wheel barrow.

My aching back says: No more til next Saturday.

It does look back breaking. I do love the picture, though, and was also glad to see that the truck ahead of you got to the top of the greatest page!

5. Laughing!

I've slept like a heavy hitting hammer for 3 nights now. I have unloaded and spread 2 truckloads in the last 3 days.
My yard is rejoicing, and looking better and better.

The truck with the tarp obliterating the driver's vision is my favorite, I was open jawed taking that picture, and the ugly truck, that driver just glared at me.

It was an adventure, and yes, I was shocked to see the photo of the "Retired Preacher, no longer a nice guy", making people so happy at Easter.
Nice though, we don't have enough good news.
