Canon EOS Rebel T1i - do you have this what is your opinion
Canon EOS Rebel T1i with two lens 18-55 and 55 -250 for $860 at costco sale ends today -
what is everyone's opinion on the camera?
The price? the lens?
Which do you carry the most?
Which lens do you use? What do you like?
What are some of the types of shots you have made with these types of lens?

1. I might be the last person
that should be giving anyone advice, but... I have been in the midst of much discussion about Canons and...

you might be able to get as good a deal other places, example
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120355&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-DSLR-_-Canon+USA-_-30120355

just saying... you might have more time to think on it without missing out on a deal

3. costco has a 90 return policy on electronics and they have 2 year waranties
where you talk to a person who speaks english in the usa

anywhere else and I am dealing with low quality service and awful return policies and stocking fees. If I can help it, I will NEVER buy electronics from any other store.

But thanks for the offer of those low price places

2. Two Reviews
I'm a Canon fan. They're not always on the cutting edge, but they make good solid cameras. There's also a very good selection of lenses and a shit load of accessories.

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Digital-10-1MP-18-55mm-3-5-5-6/dp/B000I1ZWRC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1278815675&sr=8-2

I've gone back to a point and shoot because of injuries that has forced me to value low weight when it comes to cameras. When I had an SLR, my lens were appox what you are offered. It's a good place to start. Those lens are good for most situations.

I've fallen on pavement twice with my Canon G10 and it still works. I don't know if the T1i can take that much abuse, but my experience has given me confidence in the build quality of their cameras.

4. If you just want to use it for still photography, it's probably a good choice...
If, on the other hand, you have had any thoughts of using it for video as well, I'd opt for the T2i -- it might be more expensive, but the video mode is a lot better.
