2. Beautiful! BTW, I can see my house from here! From a long time ago - I used

to live in the Smith projects before I joined the military and left NY in 1977. That building on the extreme right-hand side is mine. Lived on the 13th floor, overlooking the river.

and so deceptive... making it look so calm and serene... I worked in Brooklyn last November (it never felt this serene)

5. It was sort of serene...

it was shot from Brooklyn Bridge Park and I did sit for a time and listened to the river lapping the shore. Now of course you also have the noise from the Manhatan Bridge but hey you take it how ever you can get it :-)

It has such a retro 50's feel to me (except for the white building on the right).

Funny but since the Towers are gone that view does look pretty retro.

7. Wondrous - the great bridge. I like you posted this portrait of it today.

This morning I drove two cousins I spent some time with in the Florida Keys to the airport in Key West and they were on their way to NYCity.

We smiled and commented on the wide disparity in what they would experience in just a few hours.

I have not been to New York in a good while, and I like this photo which takes me back to the feel of it.

Every time you post here it makes me happy!!!

a little hyper real. I really like playing with exposures and filters in black and white.

16. I actually prefer architecture photos in black and white.

The lines and design of a building or a bridge come across so much better - at least for me - in black and white.

I love that you also included the foreground for perspective. And as someone else mentioned it does have a certain 50's feel to it in B&W.
