I could use a hand with some photo editing...
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 03:23 PM by mutley_r_us

I think this would be a great picture if it wasn't for the bright blob coming from the window. Does anyone know how that could be fixed? I'm pretty useless when it comes to photo editing software. Thanks!

edit: Here's another one from the same batch that I just love!

4. Thanks.
She's my little baby. She was getting pretty annoyed with the camera at this point, LOL!

3. Immad2's got the right idea...
The blown-out sky in the original is just that -- blown out. It's almost entirely pure white, and there's no adjustment you could make to bring out any detail there.

The only solution is to substitute a different background for that part of the scene. Tricky, but doable in Photoshop (or, I would assume, Paint Shop Pro).

6. There really isn't much detail to bring out.
Other than the blinds over the windows. I actually like Immad2's better than what I thought people would do because I didn't really like the TV and stereo in the background.

5. Hey, that's great!
I love it, thanks! I really need to learn how to use software like this. I actually have Gimp but I can't do much more than the bare basics on it.

7. It was done with Jasco Paint Shop Pro 9.
My first try - reading directly off the "Learning Center" how to list. There is so much to learn but it is very interesting.

10. Yes....there is definately some Schiperkee in there....
...I wondered at first because the brown eyes didn't resemble a pure-breed. But from its profile you can really see it.

11. I'll have to look up some pictures of Schiperkee...
We know she's part Keeshond -- that's what her mother is -- and we thought she might have some Chow, but she has a pink tongue. Plus the vet said he doesn't see the Chow in her face at all. Either way, it's fun trying to guess what else she has in her.

12. Alfredo's "challenge" will take a lot of time.....so....
When you get lemons in your photo make beer

No way to recover the background. Immad2 had the best idea…. Make a new background. I took a different :eyes: approach. Removed background. Converted to B & W using an orange (or yellow… don’t remember which) filter. Went max dynamic range on the conversion then used the unmask thingie. It was a “quick and dirty” fix. Hope ya’ like it………
