1. That's my kind of flower. Love it.
Flowers are beautiful but they can also be a little strange looking. I like the strangeness of flowers. The part that is almost alien to look upon. Love the detail of what lies behind the petals. The way the petals swirl open and bloom out.

It very much resembles a tulip.... but top down I am not positive.......

No matter, it is a very good photo anyway and I enjoyed it to the max...

I shot it at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden in spring of '09.
