Just recovering from a bad cold, conjunctivitis.
Edited on Wed Nov-24-10 07:11 PM by maheanuu
It seems that every summer (we're below the equator) we start out with colds, dengue fever, the grippe, and old faithful pink eye or conjunctivitis. Usually it comes up from the south west, from the islands in the western South Pacific that do not have the health care we have and it is carried either by tourists, or visitors travelling through Tahiti. It always seems to happen about this time of year.

Yesterday was my first good day, where I felt like doing much of anything and so I did some light flower Photography that I thought I would put up for your enjoyment and your critique.. (I learn better when my work is critiqued, might be an old navy habit or sumpin) <grin>

Anyway, Here goes------

Shot 1 Paulines Orchids (Unknown)

Shot 2 Somethings Old, Somethings New, All Things Beautiful

Shot3 Paulines Red Orchid (Unknown)

Shot 4 Another View Paulines Red Orchid

Shot 5 Apo'o'iti Point Flamboyant Close to Full Bloom

2. My dear maheanuu...
I'm sorry to hear you were sick. It's not fun...

And I am thankful for these wonderful pictures!

You live in one of the most beautiful, if not THE most beautiful, places I've ever seen.

Thank you!

3. Number 2 is so Organic. Really like that
Only critique I would toss out is that your reds seem a bit over-cooked. But, it could just be this particular monitor. It's not calibrated.

What a wonderful place to live. I'm sorry that you went through so much sickness.

Oh, and that last photo looks surreal to me. It's cold and bare here so the warm feeling I get from looking at that is quite comforting.

Thanks for sharing.

4. The Reds on the Orchids are what you see
That is the color I see, it is as red as lip gloss. And thanks for your critique, and I will pick a blossom and put it next to my screen this afternoon just to double check my color....

5. I'm sure it's just my monitor and me
I've not seen a color that red except when I boost color in flora, but I don't live where you are. I am definitely not aware of all the colors this world has to offer.
