Bucolic and scary both - I hung out for a while in WannaJump's neighborhood

My family is in Asheville, so while they made turkey soup I headed on down the street a bit to take a few photos.
Sure enough, the barn theme was easily replicated but there were some loose dogs that did not want me around, nor I them, and I moved on from here, taking just this quick shot.

Next was one out the window of a really decrepit and sad looking place. Note the black dog peering over the porch railing, and what we can barely see is the woman coming out from behind the screen with rage in her eyes for me having stopped to take a picture.

I waved at her, but it did not make her happier.

Then I heard the "howling" of bulls when I arrived at another barn, ringed with full bull/cow/calves families. They did not get any happier either when I showed up with my camera.

Nope, not at all happy

So I just went back to what I can do that is not making anyone mad,
aged barn doors, nice wood, and green moss.

1. Well, glad you survived the shoot.
The next-to-last one is very appealing. Wabi and sabi too!

3. Awww
You got a calf milking! Well, no wonder they were a bit ornery. I like the third to last one, because you not only get the barn but the serene surroundings (and the color seems just right!)

5. Please be careful
Are you packing? I always get asked that.

Nice collection of photos you have there. Really liked the door/tree photo.

6. Beautiful! and I too am glad you survived to show us.
Country dogs can be dangerous, and very territorial. One time, (when I still smoked)I was looking for someplace to have a smoke, so I took a walk. Ended up with a pack of dogs following me around. It was scary...I told them, "hey boys, I'm just trying to have a smoke, OK?" I have since given it up.

Back to your photos, I like the second to last one the best.
