I wasn't able to get these into a decent order, but what the hey... you'll get the idea.
Thanks for coming along with me these last 3 weeks.

1. Wow...
Nice, very nice. Going to call it the Orchid Room. Thinking they are going to love it as much or more than you do. They did some beautiful work there and kudos for the design. Great photos too.

2. Thanks CC. I'm exhausted, and I did not even do the work.
Aldi has orchids on half price sale once a week a year. This was the week, a sweet omen since I had orchids in mind for months for the re-claimed window. It had been closed off by the tub surround for over 30 years.

My first shower this afternoon was heavenly!

5. Looks really good, Mira!
I'm happy for you! :)

What's the ceiling material? Couldn't make out what it is, little mosaic stones?

7. Thanks and YUP - small mosaic - came on sheets
there's a salvage house here where one can find treasures. The ceiling added less than 400 bucks to the job, material and labor. I thought it was worth it and pulled all the color together.

8. I think of you, and wonder about all the "culture shocks" you are going through
I'm sure you have lots of differing emotions and I hope your adjustments are well under way.
I look forward to seeing you more often, and with photographs...

9. The little things are throwing me some.....TV, restaurants, cell phone use
telemarketers, shopping...

There are things I'm appreciating all over again as well.

Your new bathroom is truly wonderful...a haven.

I've gotten photos of toads and lizards recently...they are all over my yard and outside walls.

Still no furniture or the rest of my stuff...but I do have a camera. :)

the whole room is waterproofed. I'm glad you like it.

13. wow...the end result is beautiful
I can't put my finger on it...but for some reason it reminds me of an underground lake/cave. It seems calm and natural. If that make any sense.

14. NIce comment, thanks. I was worried I would turn off
potential future owners of the house.
I bet you climbed up, at Zion National Park, where there was a path with lots of moisture and lichen and wonderful wildflowers, and then you stood against a multi-colored wall and the water was coming down in front of you.
I must find my photos of that spot.
I know you had a great time. Show us pictures, please.

15. Here's where I'm talking about - I found them. And I'm so
happy to be reminded of Zion Canyon. WHat at place!

16. The interesting thing about Zions
is the drive to it is dry and magnificently stark and arid. You get into the park and there are areas of rich wet lush greenery. Ferns and grotto's. So huge and prehistoric. On one hike, there was an area where the water seemed to be weeping from a small fissure in the roof of an overhang. It's the pic I wanted to enter but it wouldn't upload to this minipc for some reason. When I get home, I upload and show off a little.
