Fred and BoBo come nightly and eat the bugs. They will now sit with us on the deck...we don't bother them and they are comfortable with us.

4. Yes..both dogs are mine.

We have an armadillo that comes every night but he's fairly quick...hard to get a good shot of him.

2. This gives a great feel for where you've been and where

you are now, covering the last month or so. I hope you are acclimating, not too homesick for what was only your home for a while. I think your photos tell a great story.

5. We enjoy the wildlife and that's a huge plus for us.

Deer gather below my backyard in a little hollow. We have an armadillo that makes nightly visits. The gator pond is about a mile away from us. Not thrilled by the smallness of the town but..well...that's life.

and I love the flowers, especially the one with the water drops so crystal-clear. Hummingbird, bugs, all great. :thumbsup:

7. You didn't name the slug?

Come on now, slugs have feelings too (especially when you pour salt on them).

8. Nah. The slug never stayed long enough to get a name.

BoBo is outside right now. Fred is missing...maybe he's off visiting another family.

9. Keep those lizards around, give them names

It'll be the only thing that keeps the cockroaches in semi-control. After two years living there in the late 80's and then moving back to the Midwest, it took me a few months to get used to opening the kitchen cabinets & not hearing scrabbling little roach feet. It'll happen, you can't do a thing about it.

10. The lizards - and there are several - live on the front walk. One stays around the storm drain

and the rest live in the shrubs. I'll think of some names for them. I enjoy watching them race across the grass. Haven't seen a roach yet...thankfully. We tend to adapt to the wildlife around us....never running them off...instead seeking a balance. I'm hoping to have a few orb spiders soon to help with the pesky insects (& marigolds to attract the good insects). I'm doing the landscaping for a flower bed. I had 3 in my garden (orb spiders) years ago...they reduce the pest problems.

11. I like the first and last ones best

in the first, there is the burned out bulb and the way the hummingbird is captured with virtually no blue is very nice! :) :fistbump:
