Horses may be my very favorite artistic subject......great job.

5. Does it? Look hot, that is? It was letting up a bit, plus the altitude was

higher. And as far as horses maybe being your favorite subjects is concerned, you would have a hard time convincing me of that.
To me you are the Queen of birds, I suspect even that they follow you home.

3. Unless you live in the country side

and it is still hot. lol Love the photos. Just one questions, did they get you to cuddle the kitty too? Looks like a good one to learn about cats on. Been to hot to turn on the computer, tv or anything else that adds heat to the house and might break the electric grid.

My history of stark fear of dogs and cats has changed. I raised some BIG dogs and learned to love them. But I've still not had a cat. And that particular one, present in a couple of the additional photos I posted tonight, to me is feral looking in the setup she patrols. So no,
I
did not
touch her.

4. A little more, because of your kind comments

I have this friend who has been through a life that is so rough that it is hard to contemplate. Do you remember the woman played by Sally Fields in "Not without my daughter"? My friend went through the same thing in the middle East, except she escaped with three children under 8.

She is a horse woman, and because of the economy now has been able to secure a short term lease on a falling down but resurrect- able horse stable and farm. 53 acres a relative is helping her put a hold on if she can make a go of it boarding/training/teaching riding and all other horse related things BY HERSELF. She is working night and day to get the dung out of horse runs and nails fences and repairs barns and stables, runs tractors to create room for arenas and more to get it ready to once again make money. She has lost 40 pounds doing it, is nothing now but a thin line in the countryside (old German expression) but she carries on tirelessly.

So I went to see her - the light was all wrong for photos I want to take in the future, but thanks for letting me tell you a bit of too much information, keep her in light and wish her well, and look at a few more shots.

I can understand that caution of cats since the fear is there. He/she looked pretty tame and happy in your photo so I was hoping he/she wooed you into petting. :hug:

10. That gray cat is just like the one that "found " us last month.

But our new guy is not QUITE as mellow being held, yet.
