Congrats everyone! And a big thanks to regnaD kciN for the superb job of hosting.
I still can't believe I managed to win. I'm filled with surprise (possibly closer to shock), joy, and dread at the same time. It's my first time winning (and therefore hosting) so I hope some of the regulars will help me out when I inevitably ask for advice and assistance.

10. I really know how you feel, I remember. I was awake almost full night, and

slept poorly several days dreading the hosting. I came from way behind, knowing NOTHING> now I'll be glad to help if you need it. It's easier than you think.

Wonderful photos and well deserved wins. I will have to admit to being partial to the turtle though. I rarely get to see their face, then again I'm usually moving them out of the road so they don't get run over. (Along with the snakes.)

Thank you regnaD kciN, seamless and well run - as usual.

Almost tossed the turtle pic. I love his face, but the pink of that dawn's early light as background makes me cringe.

I was sitting on a garbage bag for ground cover in the muck on the backside of the pond shooting birds. Up it popped right at my feet, and just stared at me for a minute. One small movement from me - it was gone. I leaned back onto my side to make myself as small as possible and get enough distance between us for the 70-200 to catch it, and against all odds, hoped and waited. So I'm laying there, half covered in stinking muck, leaning on one elbow, camera ready, every muscle I've ever had screaming "silly woman" at me, about to give up, and up it came. The smallest movement to line up the shot and the click of the camera was enough to send it back down again, but luck was with me. I was able to bring his incredible straight-on and up-close face home with me.

But that pink ... yuk.

Oh, well.

Again - good job everyone, and thank you.
