Sunny Autumn Day
This is looking back as I walked up the hill past The Forest of Talking Trees. Snow became much deeper when I reached the other side where the sun doesn't reach the ground.

1. Makes me cold just looking at it.
Looks like a great place to take pictures. Where is it? It looks very empty and foreboding.

4. It wasn't too cold until I got in the Green Forest
Snow was above my knees and I was only wearing my mud boots. Where? It's a few hundred miles west of Kansas as the crow flies. I try to make it up in the Colorado Mountains at least every month or two. I have my favorite places and I also do a little exploring. This time of year I don't do much exploring. Don't have a 4 wheel drive or snowmobile.

This is an old Mill. Can't remember the name of the mine. The main shaft has been capped and welded shut so no puppies or kittens fall down in it and local Fox News has their "breaking story". :P

Empty and foreboding, yes. But also very serene. No traffic. No people. No noise other than your own thoughts. Only 'life' I saw were a few Deer tracks (but no Deer)

Thanks for looking and thanks for your comments.

5. Brrrrr... after the sun goes down
Thanks for your kind words. I love this time of year. The light and shadows are wonderful and make decent Black & White photos easy.

6. Thank you. That was one of my faves from the day
Took quite a few photos. Each one has a unique look to it depending on how the light played out at the time.
