5. Sorry for the late welcome. I haven't been here in a while.

Are you ok? Seem a bit sad to me, This group tends to visit sporadically so try not to let yourself get hurt if you don't get instant feedback. This may sound harsh, but I get the feeling that most of us are quite caring but also wrapped up in our own dramas, making it difficult to reach our and embrace.

But I, for one, and glad you came by and hope to see you again, pretty one.

I was a bit down when wandering in here, but feelingn a bit better. Believe, now more than ever than being a loner, not alone necessarily, but a loner is a part of me that will never change.

Don't take it personally! Given the current state of the world, I know I tend to concentrate more on the politics/current events part of DU. I also spend time in the Pets Group because I've got a mini-zoo in my house and don't really care for most people! Maybe if people were more like animals, I wouldn't mind them so much.

I'll check in here more often, I promise!

11. Welcome. Hello. Ok, a tad late, but better than never.

No, you can be a loner and post here. The requirement is that you be posting from your box (computer) alone, or living alone, or feeling alone, or not having a lot of friends, or enough friends, or a family, or enough family, or you just want to be sociable.
I'm a loner for all those reasons, and worse, I work alone, when I do work, which, gravely unfortunate, is too much now.
All these groups, people post rarely. I hope I don't sound judgmental, but post in mental health, you will get more rapid response, and much encouragement.
On the various topics in general, there are oh so many meaningless, short, profanity, responses. 100 at a time.
Rare is it worth it. It's more personal here. And supportive.
To an extent. There is misunderstanding here, too, but I think good intentions.
I'm a loner. And have been for a long time. But, whereever I go, I talk to people. I make it a point, to say something. Many people ignore me, or give only a brief nod, or snort in response.
But also many will talk to me for a long time, depending on circumstances.
Take a chance.
