Damn! I just now found this group! I can't BELIEVE it took so long!

Anyhow, here I am, so Happy New Year and stuff.

I think - and hope - you all know the "fellow weirdos" is just a joke.

Apparently I was designed to be a loner. I'm an only child who grew up with two working parents, so "alone" was pretty much the default status.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm divorced with no kids, and my employer loves that. So I've spent a lot of time travelling/living all over the world. Most recently I lived in Alexandria, Egypt for nearly 4 years.

I usually hang out in the Atheists and Skeptics groups, with the rest of the anti-social grumps. Just as you'd expect. HA!

And...Happy New Year again!

Actually, "Howdy, neighbor" is a tad Ned Flanders for me (though I do have my degree of Ned Flanders-ness, despite my presence here).

Anyway, I just thought I'd say hello. :hi:

I guess there are many ways to grow into being on your own. I grew up in a relatively large family, and though I'm definitely an introvert, I'm also something of a people person. It's totally counterintuitive.

But like any good introvert, I need to recharge the ol' batteries by down time.
