Sometimes I wish I were alone.
Me, my boyfriend, and a friend of ours all live together. We work at the same place. Right now we're working similar hours. I like them, but I also like time to myself. And they're both fairly social.

*sigh*

My college days were quite a bit different. Quite frequently I was lucky to have a dorm to myself. If I didn't want to talk to anyone, I didn't have to talk to anyone. Work was the same way.

Sometimes I miss those days. I'm a bit of a loner...

1. I love and need quite a lot of alone time....
my son is similar to me, while my daughter and husband are very people oriented - they feel the most alive and happy in the midst of a group.

My perfect day is having the day to myself and then having family and/or friends return home for dinner and the evening hours. :-)

Yeah, I can imagine that you sometimes long for time on your own!

2. Alone time is nice.
It gets bad when you *need* human contact and can't find any, for whatever reason.

It gets very. Goddamn. Bad.

Can you tell what kind of day GB has had?

5. I'm alone most of the time
And I like it that way. Sometimes I'll go to a family function and that's alright, but by the end of the day I'm ready to do exactly what I'm doing now: typing out a message and reading you guys on DU.

It's strange really. I enjoy this place greatly and it is something of a social organization albeit a virtual one, but in reality I don't talk much and I seldom entertain friends or family. I don't know what the deal is with that. Maybe I should start a thread about it. :)
