I am lonely again
My boyfriend fell off his meds, lost his mind, and moved out. So I am stuck being lonely again. I HATE being lonely and I am suffering immensely. Wish there was a pill I could take to make the loneliness go away..Oh wait, there is, BOOZE!! Naaaa, I can't do that. Oh well, here I go again being alone. I was alone for 7 months the first time, let's see how long I am this time. I am in a lot of pain! :-(

1. Awww, Roon,

What's your friendship situation? It helps to have friends and interests outside of a relationship.

2. You posted that the same day as my birthday.

Mind you, what you can do I can do better. I've been alone for over 34 years. Puts 7 months to shame, doesn't it?

Well, in 2000 there was a period of 3 months where I didn't feel alone... but it turned out I still was and it was just an act. :(

3. I can appreciate your pain
I see the light coming over the horizon, only to see it fade away--again. I thought I had a possible (met over the 'Net) and she lives a little out of the way, but she's so darned busy. We play 'phone tag a lot. I'm wondering if she really wants to meet or what. There's a another possible one, but she was gone over the weekend on vacation. Hopefully I'll hear from her shortly. I don't know. :(

I'd rather be alone for the right reasons, than be together for the wrong reasons.

5. More to add
looks like I'll be alone again. My very possible girlfriend, in addition to losing her father suddenly (he was not in good health, but nothing like terminal) a couple of weeks ago, she has a job offer--in DC. They're still talking. It'll be good for her career (journalist), but I thought that she'd be here for at least another year, or 'til the kids' school term ends.

Dammit! Losing another one to job and career, that's two in two years!

Going to the Carolina RenFest for the weekend with a bunch from the Georgia RenFest. This has been planned well in advance and I'm not dropping everything for her. We spoke earlier in the week and she hadn't called 'cause there's a lot for her to do and process. She said that she wouldn't be good company for a while (understandable, I'm not blind--maybe obsessive. :)) I'd love to call, but I said that I wouldn't and she can call me. Maybe when I get back on Monday.

I'm looking forward to the long quiet drive.
