3. Nice stuff.
It's what mine would be like if I had your education in using the tools. Yours gives me insight into escaping the limitations I'm up against. Thanks!

4. That's so cool! Thank you.
What's funny is that I'm almost completely self-taught, and my art is more a happy accident (at least, initially) than the result of any education. Now, I've accidentally helped you. I love it!

6. I like all of those a lot.
Hope you don't mind that I snagged a couple of yours for desktop purposes.

Been messing with some abstract stuff myself the last couple of months, though I really should go back to traditional drawing again.

This one's not really an abstract, but it's my favorite out of the thirty odd ones I've done.

7. Please, do anything you want with them but take credit for them.
Dude, those are fucking cool enough to make me call you dude! Sorry. Your work has the symmetry mine doesn't (I'm imbalanced), but you also capture that combination of the digital and the organic that I seem to be obsessed with. I can't pick a favorite of those four, I like them all for different reasons.

8. The organic part comes from me trying to not use man made objects.
Most of those are combinations of organic life of some kind (plant, animal, terrains) that I just make symmetrical and layer a bunch of them over each other with varying transparency, then fiddle with colors and lighting. I have done a few with actual objects but I try to manipulate it to the point that it's hard to detect. I did this one the other night using real objects (missiles, a soldier) and I'm not sure I like it (though I was happy with the colors).

The symmetry itself comes from my obsession for order in my artwork. My whole life is a whirlwind of chaos, so I try to bring some order to what I can. :)

I think yours are far more organic than mine are, and the lack of symmetry works perfectly. I'd consider yours more of a true abstract style than what I'm doing.

I have most of the ones I've done, plus a handful of old drawings, here on Myspace if you want to check them out, but be warned, you may want to mute the song on the page. :D

9. Ooo, I like those.
I knew a longhair in high school who had a style similar to your drawing style. He could draw Iron Maiden's Eddie almost perfectly in a single period. Anyway, as you can probably guess, I love the colors in your abstract work. You've got lion fish in some of them, don't you?

10. That longhair was probably me.
:)

I do have a lion fish in a few. Plus an octopus, a sea horse and who knows what other critters. The underwater background really gives up cool textures when the transparency and lighting effects are added together, so I've used a handful of underwater pics of various types, and taking a piece of a bizarre sea creature makes for all kinds of neat possibilities.

12. Yep. They're completely computer generated.
I've got an older version of Photoshop and a handful of filters I use to make them.
