Can anyone help me identify this print / artist?
I've had this for probably 20 years now. It's dated from the Paris exposition in (I think) 1904. My French isn't great, but I translate it as the summer exposition (of new inventions, probably a world expo), and gives the address of the Paris-Agen expo. Would anyone know anything about it?

Full image (the poster is probably 5 feet tall):

Thanks for any info

1. The closest that I could find, obviously the same artist, is at

Vavasseur, Eugene Charles Paul French 1863-1949 - Vavasseur was a prolific illustrator and poster designer who is most remembered for his iconic poster for Ripolin paint, featuring three men painting. But he was also clearly skilled in the classic Art Nouveau style. He sometimes used the pseudonym, "RIPP."

3. LOLOL :D... It's just that the top of your painting says "Paris Agen,"
while the other painting says "Paris Lyon." Even found another with a different heading location. Beautiful work.

5. Very good eye - I hadn't noticed
It must have been a series he made as the expo moved around (I don't know that much about the expo).

6. Yeah, I'd like to

It's my favorite; it's a big piece so it's hard to find a place for it. In this house I have it on the wall of the stairs, in my previous house I had it in the bedroom, and before that I don't remember where I kept it, but I love it. It's a bitch to hang up sometimes, though.

I bought it for $275 (I think) around 1990. Loved it the minute I saw it, and made a point to get it.

But you're welcome to come and visit it if you want. :)
