"Death of Belit"
Hello everybody,

I wanted to share a piece I just completed. It's based on comic book cover art by John Buscema from Conan the Barbarian #100.

It's mixed media stands 13.75" tall. It's painted with gray primer.

It's sculpted in connectible parts and is going to be used as a master-sculpture to produce polystone hobby model kits.
Thanks for looking!

Peace! :hi:

I know the issue well, as I drew the exact same picture when it came out. Buscema's art was always an inspiration for me back then, and Conan was pretty much the coolest thing for me to draw at the time.

That is super cool. I want one! :)

6. Thank you !
It's really a memorable cover

It was a challenge to translate the art into 3D. I had to take a few licenses.
The kit is supposed to be out this fall. I'll make to keep you posted if you like.

You are a Master. That is one powerful piece! I want to read the comic now. That's how moving your work is. I hope she's not dead

7. Thank you very much!

Here is a synopsis of the Conan story the comic art is drawn from http://conan.wikia.com/wiki/Queen_of_the_Black_Coast
It's very tragic I'm afraid! Well, Conan's entire story is very tragic.
Belit was basically the inspiration for the Valeria character from the Conan The Barbarian movie.

3. Duh, I just read the title.
 Should have known from the rage and what seems to me like inconsolable sorrow on his face. Very sad.

4. Don't worry, in comics no one is ever truly dead.
