My attempt at religious art

Inspired by my mom's upcoming birthday I have gotten into creating images of the Virgin Mary, I find it fascinating all the different approaches artists have all over the world for the same thing.

These are two my mom liked. My first two attempts.

I am getting a little wackier tonight with my new works of her, but I think my mom is enjoying my lack of nudity and abstraction in these and others like it.

edit: the little pink heart on the bottom of the left will be the tattoo I get in honor of my mom, small and placed on my left hand at the bottom of the thumb. I have taken to placing it in all the work I do for her right now.
