4. It also reminds me of something written in a Sunday supplement

by a man who fronted "One Man and his Dog", televised coralling competitions between sheep-dogs owned by various farmers.

He grew up in rural Yorkshire, and said that his parents wanted him to be a doctor, but he disliked people when they were well, so b*gger seeing them when they were sick... Also, that the local lads apparently referred to him as "im as belongs to the lemon-eyed bitch." I suppose they focused on that kind of technical data concerning his dog, because to them, dogs wouldn't have been pets but would all have been working dogs. Still, their prioritisation, while lauded by all animal lovers, sounds funny, doesn't it?
