It's kind of slow because it is on the other side of the planet. But if you appreciate Aussie humor it is pretty good.

6. I'm amazed you found that
unless you picked up from something I posted ages ago. The ones which always made me laugh the most were the classified ads like "space to rent behind venetian blind" and "for sale : staircase. Gone upstairs and not coming down again "

:hi:

But I'm pretty sure I picked it up on DU.

Do you have the one that is related to the British Military? I can't remember much about it, but it was mostly soldiers posting funny stuff about being soldiers.

I'll check with an old school friend who's now in Toronto. He might know of it - he's always kept abreast of our UK stuff.

15. Here is a joke from Arrsepedia
Abdul has just successfully obliterated himself and several dozen women and children in a busy railway station and has been wafted up to Paradise.
"Howdy there!" says God on horseback. "Glad to see you buddy. Let me introduce you to Davy Crockett, Colonel Jim Bowie, Trampus and..."
"Hang on a minute!" protests Abdul. "Allah promised me seventy virgins!" God takes off his stetson hat and scratches his head.
"Where did ya read that boy?" he drawls. Abdul pulls out his Koran and points to the relevant passage. God spits out his chewin' tobacco and laughs.
"Why!!??... you dumb ass son of a bitch! It says seventy Virginians!"

16. Some of those are rehashes
the one about tent being gone was originally a joke about Holmes talking to Watson.

Mind you - most jokes are rehashes. There are apparently no more than seven basic structures. The only one I know by name is reverse logic. e.g. a guy goes into a pub with a pig under his arm and the landlord says "where did you get him ? The pig replies "I won him in a raffle"

WORLD RECORDS - WOMEN & MEN

WOMEN

Group Toilet Visit
The record for the largest group of women to visit a toilet similtaniously is held by 147 workers at the Dept. of Social Security, Long Benton. At their annual celebration at a nightclub in Newcastle upon Tyne on 12th Oct 1994. Mrs. Beryl Crabtree got up to go to the toilet and was immediately followed by 146 other members of the party. Moving amass the group entered the toilet at 9:52pm and after waiting for everyone to finish, emerged 2hrs 37mins later.

MEN

Expletives
On 9th june 1996, Mr. Harold Brayson (GB) struck his thumb with a stone masons mallet whilst breaking concrete in his back yard in Tewksbury, Gloucestershire. He went on to swear for 14mins 7secs. without stopping once or repeating a swear word. He later attempted to better this feat on BBC TV's Record Breakers programme by dropping a car battery on his foot. It ended in failure when he repeated the word b@stard after 12mins 58secs.

edit : I found the rest of the Womens ones which include :

Talking about Nothing:
Mrs. Mary Caterham (GB) and Mrs. Marjorie Steele (GB) sat in a kitchen in Blackburn, Lancs. and talked about nothing whatsoever for four and a half months from 1st May to 7th August 1978, pausing only for coffee, cakes and toilet visits. Throughout the whole time, no information was exchanged and neither woman gained any new knowledge whatsoever. The outdoor record for talking about nothing is held by Mrs. Vera Etherington (GB) and her neighbour Mrs. Dolly Booth(GB) of Ipswich, who between 11th November 1983 and 12th January 1984 chuntered on over their fence in an unelightening dialogue lasting almost 62 days until Mrs.Booth remembered she'd left the bath running.

Gossiping: On February 18th 1992, Joyce Blatherwick, a close friend of Agnes Banbury popped round for a cup of tea and a chat, during the course of which she told Mrs. Banbury, in the strictest confidence, that she was having an affair with the butcher. After Mrs. Blatherwick left at 2.10pm, Mrs. Banbury immediately began to tell everyone, swearing them all to secrecy. By 2.30pm, she had told 128 people of the news. By 2.50pm it had risen to 372 and by 4.00pm that afternoon, 2774 knew of the affair, including the local Amateur dramatic Society, several knitting circles,a coachload of American tourists which she flagged down and the butchers wife. When a tired Mrs. Banbury went to bed at 11.55pm that night, Mrs.Blatherwick's affair was common knowledge to a staggering 75,338 people, enough to fill Wembley Stadium.
