and I've just been watching a video of it on YouTube. The one where she's wearing a red dress.
When I first heard it, and still had perfectly good hearing, I couldn't catch the words at all, it came across as a most beautiful and original-sounding kind of screeching. Well, her dancing is at least as nutty (not uncommon in those of the female persuasion, anyway), and she herself is very attractive.
But she made such an art form out of nuttiness that the viewers' responses are hilarious - those who just think she dances grotesquely, those who think she seems crazy, and those who think she sings, looks and dances beautifully and in an utterly nutty way. Usually, I side with the singer, since I only watch what I like, but in this case, everyone seems to be right - which makes it a pretty remarkable piece.
It is so addictive to some of her fans they say they listened to it more than 50 times in succession, one that she listened to it last thing at night, but most agree that it's crazy-seeming. But for me, it's the viewers' responses that are addictive.
