I like the "work in progress" version of Beauty and the Beast. It's really interesting to watch because it gives you insight into how an animated feature is developed.

1. Depends.
I too liked the work in progress on "Beauty and the Beast." However, on the anime Kenshin dvds I liked the out-takes. (Which are the only "English" parts I watch on that anime~oro!) On the "Aladdin" dvd release I liked the 'pop up fun facts'.

2. I like the character design portfolios
on whatever DVDs have them. I didn't often get to see what the other artists were designing when I worked at Disney (we were all kind of secretive with our character designs), so now I get to see what everybody else was up to-though they don't put our names by the designs (usually I can guess who did what).

Is the "work in progress" version on the new Beauty and the Beast DVD? I haven't really looked at mine yet, but I have the old work in progress from the film from when I was working on it (though it's a VHS tape-probably not in great shape now since those things can degrade after ten years).

the work in progress version.
A new version featuring a new song or two.

4. Probably that "human again" song?
I heard Alan Menken and Howard Ashman sing that one together back in 1990-and I still haven't gotten it out of my head! Sometimes there's a reason stuff is left on the cutting room floor...

7. Rurouni Kenshin series dvds.
We watch the dvds themeselves in Japanese with subtitles, and in the extras watch the outtakes of the American voice actor flubs. Oro.

8. Animatics
I'm always ticked that they don't include full animatics on DVDs, why not do it? Space? Pffft!

I think all 4 Futurama seasons have one animatic on them.
