My man Genndy Tartakovsky KILLED IT with these episodes! I haven't had so much fun watching American animation in a long tome....well since I first saw Dexter's Laboratory, and the Powerpuf Girls, and Samurai Jack.....hey wait a minute! :)
Watching the DVD has got me so pumped up for May 19th I feel 9 years old again!

At least that's my take on it. Japan ... they see it as an artform. Most US producers have reduced it down to a job. A market. Cartoon Network seems to get it. They seem to be funding those who try things and have a passion for the medium.
So go figure. A corporation that doesn't bleed to soul out of everything it touches.

I thought the storyline wasn't much better than the pathetic prequels. Not much more than a ton of battle scenes.
Still, it's very interesting what they were able to do in 3 minute segments, and the animation looked gorgeous - like comic books come to life.
