I guess the anime just wasn't pulling in the ratings that the surreal comedies (ATHF, Robot Chicken, et al) were getting. So now instead of Inuyasha 4 or 5 nights per week, it's only on Tuesday nights. Instead of FMA 5 nights/week, it's on Wednesday and Saturday. Don't get me started about GITS:SAC now only on Saturdays. AND they've resurrected Home Movies and Lupin III. Yech.
OTOH, Boondocks is excellent, and they've started showing the Evangelion series, which is decent. Both are on about three nights/week. Scry-ed is a fine show, and it's on 5 nights/week, but I've already watched the series through about four times, so I'm not quite as thrilled by it anymore. I'm not a big fan of Samurai Champloo either, but it has some definite areas of merit, and pulls its weight well enough.
Worst of all, though, is the Friday night CN lineup. You'd think they could maybe put more anime on then, since they've slashed it damn near everywhere else. But nooooooo... It's the Camp Lazlo/Ed,Edd,Eddie marathon! Aargh! Even the marginally enjoyable .hack was moved to five in the goddam morning. What's with that? Your average chimpanzee could do a better job of scheduling a FridayPM-SaturdayAM run than what they've got now.
Fortunately, there are a few other channels that show quality anime.
