Disney Treasures DVDs
I have several of the Disney Treasures DVDs and was watching Silly Symphonies last night. The shorts are from the 20s, 30, and 40s. Watched one from 1929, drawn by Ub Iwerks, called Skeleton Dance. Black and white, very simply drawn, but a lot of fun to watch.

If you're interested in animation history, these dvds are a good collection since they're mostly shorts from the early days of Disney.

I have Mickey Mouse in Living Color, Silly Symphonies, and On the Front Lines (a collection of war films Disney did during WWII). They are limited editions but all seem to be available on Amazon.

1. "Skeleton Dance" is pretty cool.
Ub Iwerks didn't get the recognition he deserved. Oh wait...he worked for Disney.

"The Old Mill" is pretty cool too, and of course there's "The Band Concert".

Lol! That's the truth for just about all of us who have worked there!

Eisner continues the tradition; he hated it when people like Glen Keane ended up in "People" or "Entertainment Weekly". It's easier to abuse and misuse artist's who don't have faces!
