Especially when Tex Avery went to MGM, and his influence started to rub off on Hanna & Barbera. "Mouse Cleaning" stands out as a great example, and so does "The Cat Concerto".
And you gotta love Mammy Two-Shoes!

Glad to see my early years of wide eyed awe weren't just me!
I profess to this day that my file as an artist began with old Tom & Jerry bits. And I'll go to my grave saying the same!
