1. Ninja Scroll is still my fave |
|
but I also liked the first 2 Patlabor movies a lot.
I watched Project A-Ko on acid, and that was pretty wild.Of course it may actually suck, but what a ride at the time :D
Iria and Doomed Megalopolis I still throw on sometimes too.

2. I know it wasn't close to the books |
|
But I always loved the LENSMAN movie. I think it was actually the first anime to use CGI. Man, that's dating me, isn't it?

3. I *heart* Haunted Junction |
|
That show is freaking hilarious, and way too few people have seen it. My favorite episode is the skank-off between the Blue Hanten and Toilet Hanako...and also the one where the Red Mantle took his mask off and everyone was driven insane by his beauty. The latter one had one of the funniest moments I can remember in anime...the "OH MY GOD!" at the end had me howling.
The Shinto priestess with the shota complex kinda squicks me out though, mostly because she reminds me of some of the yaoi fangirls I know that give the rest of us a bad name (you know the ones that love those FF7 doujinshis that make Cloud look like he's five years old and make Vincent look like Michael Jackson).
