Anyone starting on Haloween costumes yet?
This year LeftyKid wants to be Link from the Legend of Zelda videogames. That should be pretty easy, just a modified peter pan pattern and some alterations to one of those ikea sword and shield sets.

I have no idea what I'll put together for LeftyDad and myself, or if I'll be roped into doing the neighbor kids' costumes again, but at least this year his will be somthing I don't have to think too hard about, except for trying to find some appropriate boots in a toddler size 11, which should be great fun.

Last year he wanted to be a scalloped hammerhead shark, needless to say I couldn't just run down to Joann grab a pattern for that. :eyes:

Is anybody else working on costumes yet or just playing with ideas?

1. Been there - done that. Glad my son thinks he is too old
for costumes. I'll still decorate the house for the kids, nothing scary since we have lots of little ones in the neighborhood.

2. Well...thinking...
Before The Half=Blood Prince came out, my DH wanted to go as Snape. (I would have probably reprised my Professor Sprout costume.)

Now, he's not so sure, so we think we're going to work out a Lupin costume, and I'm seriously thinking about Tonks.

Yeah, we're freaks.

3. We did the Link thing a couple years ago
I even had to make one for my son's friend.

My kids are too old for costumes but for a brave adult I think the grim reaper with a bush or cheney mask would be great.
