I have to make a plot map to get a building permit....

The problem is that the property that we own is on a slight slope, about 35 to 45 degrees. the property will have to have a septic system and we're also putting in a solar array. How do I show this on the plot map? Any input is welcome...:freak: :D

good luck, hopefully someone can help. but the usual way is to draw lines at predefined heights (ie every 5 feet) of elevation rise

like the maps you see of terrain, like these called topograhic maps

We're building in southwestern tehama county and the paperwork regarding the plot map they sent was so woefully inadequate it's laughable. Have you done this before? :loveya:

6. I would call the county Tax Assessor...
and ask what they have in parcel maps. They may already have a topographical map.
