Some free patterns for soft easy to make bunny and kitty
I like to read the crafting blog - Wee Wonderfuls. The owner is such a talented crafter and she offers some free patterns that look easy to make. Her original "wee" is something that any little wee one might like to hug on a bad day. There's a paper doll freebie, too.
Here's the page to her freebies http://weewonderfuls.typepad.com/wee_wonderfuls/store/downloads.html

1. Thank you! The kitty is adorable....
I've got some scraps around that would make my niece happy - and she can't have a kitty of her own yet, so a stuffie is the best alternative.

Thanks again!

2. You're welcome - Btw...
Did you find a good source for the fabrics you were looking for a while back?

3. Not really.
It's all so hit or miss. I go looking for basic stuff like plain woven linen or cotton twill in basic colors, and everyone wants to sell me massively embroidered silk-tencel with polyester decorations.

Or I want the massively decorated silk-tencel, and all anyone has is cotton twill in Neon ORANGE!! Three hundred shades even!

The Hospice thrift store tends to have some yardage, stuff people squirrelled away, so I'm shopping there for now.

9. I have my eye on the bunny
In fact, I took a trip to the thrift shop and looked for a sweater that I'll felt in the washing machine to use for the bunny front. It's something I've never tried before but figured to take a stab at.

I hope you post a picture when your pointy kitty gets finished.

13. You're welcome!
I started on her bunny pattern today. Made some mistakes. That's why I keep my seam ripper handy. I should have it sewn up tomorrow. It's been fun so far!

15. Sure!
It's stitched together and needs to be fiber filled. I'm just doing a little bit each day. 1/4" seams are a @*%#*! And I've made some really stoopit mistakes along the way. It's been a while since I've made a small stuffed animal. But I'm tickled to finally be sewing again.
