I just downloaded Google Sketch-up and it is a terrific, easy to use program for designing homes, renovations, etc. It has really incredible 3D graphics and dimensioning capabilities. You can really develop that unique home and see how it will look, complete with your choice of siding and shingles, and landscaping.

I think you can use with Google Earth, but I can't understand why, as it doesn't resolve to a level that would make it useful. You could, however, create your own 3D village if so inclined, I guess.

I assume that there must be a development library for stuff like windows, doors, kitchen, bths, etc...but I haven't gotten in that deep yet.

Still, for the price (free), it is a great piece of software.
