I still need to paint the trim and put some art on the walls, but otherwise, I pronounce it done! I will post again when it is truly done, but I don't expect that to be until Fall, and I wanted to post something before then.

Overall, I am very pleased. I would do some things differently in the tub enclosure if I had it to do over, but nothing too major.

Now onward to the kitchen project. I have literally 100 boxes from Ikea that contain my new kitchen cabinets, so I need to start putting them together soon. :crazy:

1. It's beautiful!

You did a great job. All it needs is a big Boston fern in front of the window.

My own is getting beyond depressing. The only thing worth saving is the faucet in the sink, something I replaced a year ago. The tub is gouged and scarred, the toilet has a crack, the flooring is chipped and peeling up, the window long ago outlived any usefulness, and the one ugly fluorescent light is making alarming noises and ready to go kaput. My bathroom looks worse than any "worst bathroom in town" contest winnners of the past 10 years. I'm too embarrassed to take photos of it to enter one of those contests.

And I can't do anything until my eye heals enough I can tolerate construction dust!

3. I love it! My current bathroom has a silver and white theme, but

with some other colors. I like it so much that I went out and bought replacement accessories for when I move. You have to tell me where you got the silver/tile I want it! Once again, beautiful job!

The tile on the invoice is called "Ciotolli Steel Border". I guess Ciotolli is the manufacturer. Probably any large tile supply store will have a decent assortment of steel accent tiles to choose from.

you! IT is clear/silver and really does nothing until you add the white liner behind it.

I always thought it a compliment when someone bought what I did cause they liked it soo much, until, one of my girlfriends started to copy/dress like me to the point it got weird! It was like she wanted to be me!

8. I got the tile at Charlotte Tile and Stone Supply.

My first kitchen design, I copied it completely, right down to the wall color and window treatments, from an article in the local paper. A columnist had been renovating his kitchen, same style of house as mine, same budget (or lack there of) as mine, and they did an article about it. I opened the Saturday paper, saw the photo and knew it was perfect for me, too! When I went to sell the house a few years later, buyers flipped out about how great the kitchen was. Made me laugh 'cause I was such a thief in designing it.

10. All, I can say is damn you have good taste. I collect art and one

of my ex-neighbors (works for DOD) approached me and said "I think you bought one of my fathers of my pieces.".

I asked him his Father's name and sure enough, I had bought 2 of his dad's work at a MANNA (Metropolitan Aids .. Nutrition Alliance) charity event. It is so cool. Both local college students and artists donate their work to the auction and the public bids on it. I can't tell you what I went through to get a beautiful bowl to be displayed and used for pasta, because it had enough black to fit my set!

I ended up paying 3 times as much, (only $150.00), because when the other bidder understood that I was looking years for a serving dish (as well as a charity serving dish), we agreed on a price that would benefit the charity and allow him to buy something else. (I was already in on a couple items, and with a silent auction, didn't want to be out $1,000.00 - 2,000, which I could afford, but maybe not eat or pay bills for a month!.

My other neighbor was an artist (did a lot of motorcycle stuff, as well as others), after inspecting my condo, told me that I had a good eye for art and colors. I took that as a compliment, so, should you!

I only buy art (ok, I do a little something), but we would not have creative people, if there was no one to buy their creations!

So, when you say, I only repeated something, you didn't, you inspired the creative person to create!

I hate that the Republicans have such a distaste for artistic creativity, because even my dad and ex-BF (RE wackos, oddly enough)have an affinity for collecting hand made artistically creations (my small contribution to their enlightenment) rather than Walmart's, cheaply acquired and massed produced stuff!

My mom has a great eye for art. She bought stuff in her twenties at craft shows, and now, many years later, a lot of the artists she collected are famous. She asked me the other day what I wanted of hers when she passes (not that that is going to happen anytime soon), and I said the Chihuly (famous glass artist) glass and the seasoned cast iron cooking pots.

New tub, new fixtures. I thought about keeping the old tile, since I was just replacing white with white, but I couldn't get a tile match, and it was so nasty. I just wanted to start fresh, yanno?

The fixture in the tub is wrong. I doesn't go with the faucets very well. I bought the faucets on Overstock, and they pulled the picture before the faucets arrived. I needed to order a tub fixture, so I tried to match from memory. Oh well, I own it now.

And I like the faucet in the tub. The metal looks like it goes with the sink ones. It's very cool and classy looking to me. The whole bathroom looks like that. The wall color is so chic. I bet you peek in there all the time now!
