My husband doesn't mind me peppering him with remodeling questions(especially since I'm trying to help out fellow Democrats!) but he realizes that there are often different opinions on how to do things and his opinion is only one.
So he suggested the discussion forum at
Fine Homebuilding magazine's online site:
http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/ in addition to the advice that members get here. He's read the forum and said when someone posts a question, they usually get four or five responses, some of which may disagree, but they give the homeowner some information and alternatives to consider.
I wouldn't want to see that forum replace OUR forum because I think it's helpful to read the opinions of the nonprofessionals as well as the professionals. But the site does offer another avenue of potential help.
If you visit the forum and post there, be sure to tell us what you think! :D
