Paint question
I bought an unfinished child's size Adirondak chair for my granddaughter and want to paint it for her with bright colors. I have all the colors I want here, but they are all interior paints. Can I use them and then coat the chair with some type of sealer? I'm thinking one small can of sealer would be cheaper than buying all sorts of exterior paint.

1. a polyeurethan seal should work
but a quart of oil based paint wouldn't set you back much either

2. Thanks, that's what I thought.
I want to do a multi-colored theme, so I would have to buy several different colors and don't want to invest that much.

3. Prime it first
You can try to seal it after painting, but it will likely not be as durable as using a good exterior enamel would be.

4. prime it first - then go get a small can of
Rustoleum exterior paint. You can get that in all sizes - and nice bright colors.

5. just double checked - the rustoleum is interior/exterior
and I have several cans in different sizes.

I used it on a little and chairs for my granddaughter and it worked great.

I know you can get some great colors - I have used a bright red and a nice green.

But again, I certainly suggest a bit of primer first.

6. Benjamin Moore sells 2 ounce bottles for testing colors on a wall
Not that you want to do that now. Looks like you have a solution to sealing the indoor paint. But I remembered reading about the small samples they sell these days and how helpful they'd be for small projects where I might need a number of colors.

Here's the page that shows the bottles. I love this idea and plan to use it next time we paint our rooms.
