Any hints on how to sew polyester so it doesn't fray so badly?

I don't have a serger, but I do zig zag all of the seams after I sew the pieces together..the unhemmed seams just don't last. Thanks

1. grammy used bias tape on all the cut edges with a zigzag stitch

3. There's a liquid called fraycheck

that you can apply to the edges of material that will stop it from fraying. Quicker than adding binding and you can still do a finished edge after your seams are in place.

Sergers aren't all that expensive any more. If you do a lot of sewing, you owe it to yourself to get one. It makes life SO much easier.
